Bring your camera and take a look around our park for the items on our scavenger hunt list. Take a picture with each item on our list and bring your completed list and pictures to the office to claim your prize. Remember, this is not a race, have fun! $5 parking.

• Bald Eagle Program
Saturday, March 9, noon to 1 p.m.
Join our naturalist to learn more about Bald Eagles and take a short hike with us to our resident eagles nest! Meet at Picnic Shelter #2 $3 plus $5 parking.

• Homeschooling in the Park – Exotic Species
Wednesday, March 13, noon-1 p.m.
Join our naturalist to learn about the effects of exotic species on native Georgia species. Meet at Cabins Picnic Shelter $3 plus $5 parking

• St. Patrick’s Day crafts
Saturday, March 16, noon-1 p.m.
Join our naturalist and make St. Patrick’s day crafts just in time for St. Patrick’s Day! Meet at visitor center porch. $3 plus $5 parking.

• Go Green Hike
Saturday, March 23, 11 a.m. – noon
Wear something green and join us in going green for St. Patrick’s Day by cleaning up the river trail! Free to all guest, meet at day use area. $5 parking.

• Shamrock Archery
Saturday, March 30, 1-3 p.m.
Join our naturalist for archery in the park. Ages 10+, MUST pre-register for this event. Meet at field near day use bathrooms $12 plus $5 parking.

• A Little Afternoon Music with The Masterworks Chorale
Sunday, March 24
Featuring the Carrollton Jazz Orchestra,  a 20-piece jazz band in residence at the Center for the Arts in Carrollton, Georgia. Constructed in the traditional instrumentation of the “big band” the orchestra is a collective of select musicians who value the creative opportunity to rehearse and perform challenging and complex jazz in the context of a contemporary jazz orchestra format.

• Spring Art Walk
Friday, March 29, 5-9 p.m.
The Art Walk Event is our celebration of local art, and is hosted twice a year in Downtown Newnan! Visitors can expect to stroll through over 25 locations and see the work of at least 40 artists, and you will find a wide variety of art styles and mediums.

• Market Day
Saturday, April 6, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
The Market will feature over 50 unique spaces, with a variety of one-of-a-kind gift items. Market Day favorites include: fresh locally grown produce, honey, jams & jellies, pottery, art, hand-woven baskets, leather products, etc.
