November, the month of falling leaves, mom’s pumpkin pie and Thanksgiving Day.

Speaking of Thanksgiving Day, you shall find me at Christy’s Cafe having Thanksgiving dinner for the third year in a row. Every Thanksgiving Christy’s Cafe prepares a feast for free to anyone that shows up, including the police, firemen and other first responders.

Thank you Christy Baucom for the feast and for your kind act. If anyone wants to contribute or volunteer call 770-683-7512

A shout out and congratulations to Rachel Kuehl, owner of Newnan Mercantile. On Oct. 20 at 9:20 a.m., she gave birth to a bouncing baby boy and another Newnanite is in our ranks.

The treasure of the month for the Courthouse Square, the best kept secret in all of Georgia, is One Divine Design, located at 9 East Broad St. They do screen prints, embroidery, T-shirts, hats and much more. Give Terry Ingram a call at 770-683-3120 for more information. Tell her you saw it in “The Paper.”

The Cookie Barr at 8 East Washington St. is now the home office of Mr. Personality. Attention all moms and grandmothers, this is indeed a tasty place to bring children of all ages.

A great place to find that special Christmas gift without disrespecting Thanksgiving is at Corner Arts Gallery Studio, located to 30 South Court Square. It is a local artist gift shop overflowing with the most beautiful arts and crafts and handmade items. You can also sign up for art classes. Call Jenny Jones, the owner at 678-633-5705 for more information.

Paulo Manso De Sousa of Southern Arc Dance Theater presented Dracula, A Love Story, on Oct. 19 and 20. It was truly a great performance and very well done. Everyone on stage did an excellent job. I simply had to go to the second showing after seeing the first one.

Keith Brazie of Pork Pie Pictures took the picture for the Dracula poster in which I was the poster boy. If you look closely you will see my rose. Keith did such a good job of capturing my cuteness that I am declaring Keith Brazie to be the professional photographer for Mr. Personality.

Be sure to tell your friends the value of picking up a copy of “The Paper.” It is chock full of information, interesting stories and unique personalities. Plus, it is free. In fact, you are getting twice as much for free for what you are paying for elsewhere.

Thanksgiving Day is my most favorite day of the year. The older I become, the more I have to be grateful for. I am truly thankful to be living for six years in Newnan. It has been a blessing and a spiritual experience for me. My cup is full and overflowing as is my heart.
