Each month we cover some of the hot topics from health and wellness, fashion and style, business or even tapping into your creative side. This month, we are focusing on “F” words.

Finding your fitness fit

Finding the right place to work out is a an huge decision, especially before you sign a contract or pay your dues. For years Piedmont Newnan Fitness Center has been a convenient popular  downtown fitness center.  Busy moms can drop off their children at preschool and head to the fitness center to work out or attend one of their many classes.  Now I drop of the middle SON at highschool and PNFC is just as convenient. You won’t find blaring music videos, but what you will find is a wonderful community of very caring friends, almost like a family. They will even ask you where you’ve been if you skip a week or two. When looking for a place to work out find one where you feel inspired and empowered working out. At Piedmont Newnan Fitness Center  you will find a wide range of ages all enjoying time together.

Fashion is Fun This Fall

This season you will see many new trends as well as timeless trends. That means some things you can just pull from your closet. This fall you will see plaid, dusters, bell sleeves dresses and shirts, embroidered clothes, leopard in just about everything and more wraps in different weights, shapes and sizes. Girls’ fashions are as cute as ever and are looking similar to some of the top women’s fashions. I picked some great pieces last season at C.S. Toggery and Lee-King Pharmacy.  Lucky me, they are still perfect for this season’s trends.  Gillyweed’s owner Valerie Dumas  let me in on some fashion scoop: “rose gold” is now called “millennial pink.”  She has new hair tie bracelets and the millennial pink was the first to sell out.

The Fashion Smart Purse

For busy women on the go often their purse becomes a catch all.  I have often said I could save the world with everything packed into mine. So let me suggest that before you load up that incredible purse you might win at the upcoming The Power of the Purse fundraising event for The Coweta Community Foundation, take a little advice from me.  Pick up a “Bag in one” or just a small bag and fill it with all your small essentials as you see in the photo.

This keeps all your necessities together and if you are like me and you love to switch up your purses then all you do is move this one bag to the next purse and you all set to go. No searching endlessly to the bottom of the abyss of your bag any more. Hope to see you at The Power of the Purse October 26, where you can bid on more than 50 purses, trips, and even things for the men.

Fall decor

Fall is fun time to decorate. You can start as early as September and then add and take away decor as you like for halloween and Thanksgiving.  And when I say love to decorate, I mean I LOVE to decorate. So here are some ideas to help you get started.  Mums are a perfect addition to any front porch and they will last through Thanksgiving. You can find what you need at The Veggie Patch, Southern Roots Nursery or Uncle Bob’s Farm.

Check out their ads in The Shopper. Real or faux pumpkins are perfect for any house and you can add your Halloween decor and then just take it down and everything remains in perfect for Thanksgiving. You can pull in gourds, corn stalks, real pumpkins and florals in all the orange, bronze and brown family. I use lots of baskets, glass pumpkins and garlands.
