FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 1

TODDLER STORYTIME
10-11 a.m., Newnan Carnegie Library, 1 LaGrange Street, Newnan
Join the Newnan Carnegie Library folks for story time! Each session, we will explore a new theme through books, songs, and body movement. Activities will be followed by a themed craft or open play. This program is recommended for children ages 1-3, but siblings are welcome. Registration is required. To register, click HERE.

54TH CHRISTMAS ARTS & CRAFTS MARKET
10 a.m.-6 p.m., Coweta County Fairgrounds, 275 Pine Road, Newnan
Shop over 40 vendors with art, crafts, good food and join a workshop!! Local artists, fine crafters, workshops, raffles, food and festivities.

PEACHTREE CITY NIGHT MARKET
5-10 p.m., Drake Field, 155 Willowbend Road, Peachtree City
This is a free, open to the public event, featuring music, entertainment, food and artists. Beverage vendors, Dessert and Snack Vendors, Food Trucks and Merchandise Vendors. Live music by Third Shift (5:30-6:45 p.m.) and Gravity (7:15-10 p.m.).

PREP FOOTBALL
Coweta County high school football teams in action this weekend.
East Coweta at Chapel Hill, 7:30 p.m.
McIntosh at Newnan, 7:30 p.m.
Northgate at Dutchtown, 7:30 p.m.
Fayette County at Trinity Christian, 7:30 p.m.
New Creation Christian at Central Christian, 7:30 p.m.

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 2

SATURDAY FOOD DISTRIBUTION
8 a.m., Bridging The Gap, 19 1st Avenue, Newnan
Free weekly drive-thru food pantry. Boxes typically include frozen meat, fresh fruits and produce, dairy, bread and desserts. First come, first served. Registration is required on site the day of distribution.

SENOIA FARMER’S MARKET
8:30 a.m. – 1 p.m., 40 Travis Street, Senoia
Locally-sourced Farmer’s Market, every Saturday.

PEACHTREE CITY MARKET
9 a.m.- 1 p.m., Aberdeen Village Shopping Center, Aberdeen Parkway, Peachtree City
Approximately 60 vendors offering a variety of fresh produce, poultry, beef and pork, bread, sweet treats and more. Also live music.

DOWNTOWN NEWNAN MARKET DAY
10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Courthouse Square, downtown Newnan
Hosted by Main Street Newnan on the first Saturday of every month. The Market features over 55 unique spaces, with a variety of one-of-a-kind gift items. Market Day favorites include: fresh locally grown produce, honey, jams & jellies, pottery, art, hand-woven baskets, leather products, etc.

45TH ANNUAL OLD SOUTHEASTERN MARCHING BAND COMPETITION
Noon, Drake Stadium, Newnan High School, 190 LaGrange Street, Newnan
A total of nineteen bands from Georgia and Alabama will compete across five different classes to determine the winner of the Old Southeastern Legacy Award, and the title of Southeastern Invitational Grand Champion! The competition will also feature an exhibition performance from the Newnan Marching Cats. General Admission seating is $15, and Reserved Seating at midfield is $20.

JUNIE B. JONES JR. THE MUSICAL
3:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., Newnan Theatre Company, 24 1st Avenue, Newnan • 770-683-6282
Junie B. Jones, America’s favorite elementary school student, comes to life onstage in this adaptation of three books in Barbara Park’s popular book series of the same name. Clad with purple glasses and all, Junie B., along with her classmates, parents, and teachers, sings and dances her way through the first grade, and while chronicling her adventures in her “top secret personal beeswax” journal, she learns the importance of facing obstacles head-on and turning bad situations into good ones. Junie B. Jones: The Musical Jr is fun for the entire family and highlights the timeless themes of friendship, acceptance, and humility.
