OCTOBER 20, FRIDAY

2ND ANNUAL HALLOWEEN PARTY & COSTUME CONTEST
4-6 p.m. at Newnan Carnegie Library, 1 LaGrange Street, Newnan
Join us for a frightfully good time of fun and spooks! We will have paper pumpkin decorating, a snack you make, and a costume contest. For ages 6-12. Registration required. To register, click HERE.

SENOIA ALIVE AFTER FIVE
5-9 p.m. at Downtown Senoia
Join us at Senoia Alive After Five featuring the HalloWoof Costume Contest. Dress your furry friend up in their spookiest or silliest costume. Trophies await the most creative costumes. Live music by Steven Moore, plus artisan vendors, local shopping with our downtown businesses, food trucks, kids activities and so much more!

SPOOKY SPLASH BASH
6-8 p.m. at Kedron Fieldhouse & Aquatic Center, 202 Kedron Drive, Peachtree City

LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS

The meek floral assistant Seymour Krelborn stumbles across a new breed of plant he names “Audrey II” – after his coworker crush. This foul-mouthed, R&B-singing carnivore promises unending fame and fortune to the down and out Krelborn as long as he keeps feeding it, BLOOD. Over time, though, Seymour discovers Audrey II’s out of this world origins and intent towards global domination! OCTOBER 21, SATURDAY

PEACHTREE CITY CLASSIC
8:30 a.m. 5K Start, 8:45 a.m. 15K Start at Frederick Brown Amphitheater, 201 McIntosh Trail, Peachtree City
The Peachtree City Classic is changing things up this year! For the first time in its history, we will be combining the Men’s and Women’s 5K courses. The Classic will now consist of only two different live races: the 5K and 15K Open. Both races are on certified courses. And, for the third year in a row, the 15K Open will be an RRCA State Championship Event. Both races are run mostly on paved golf cart paths that will take you through the green belt areas, by lakes, through small tunnels, across bridges, and on the scenic routes through the planned community of Peachtree City. SENOIA FARMERS MARKET
8:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at 40 Travis Street, Senoia
It is a community-oriented marketplace that features a variety of local farmers, food producers, artisans, and craftsmen. You can find a wide selection of fresh produce, including fruits and vegetables, herbs, and flowers. There are also local food producers selling homemade baked goods, jams and jellies, honey, and other artisanal products. The market also features handmade crafts, such as pottery, jewelry, and textiles. Visitors can enjoy live music, food trucks, and other family-friendly activities.  EVERY Saturday.

SERENBE FARMERS MARKET
9 a.m.-1 p.m. at 9110 Selborne Lane, Palmetto
Serenbe Farmers Market offers a variety of healthy foods and artisanal goods on a large green space surrounded by a canopy of trees. Spend the morning shopping for your weekly groceries or unique gifts & wears while enjoying the beauty of nature.

PEACHTREE CITY MARKET
9 a.m.-1 p.m. at Aberdeen Village Shopping Center, Aberdeen Parkway, Peachtree City
This market brings approximately 60 vendors offering a variety of fresh produce, poultry, beef and pork, bread, sweet treats, honey, eggs, prepared foods and so much more. It’s the perfect place to find the consummate gift for the foodie in your life and visitors will also find live music going on.

6TH ANNUAL CAR, TRUCK, OFFROAD SHOW
10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Coweta County Fairgrounds, 275 Pine Road, Newnan
Hosted by the Newnan Police Department. Raffles, Trophies, Music, Food Trucks and Vendors. All proceeds help fund Christmas With A Cop Program. Free Spectator Admission. $20 per Vehicle in the Show.

2ND ANNUAL BEEF FESTIVAL
10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Carroll County Ag Center, 900 Newnan Road, Carrollton
Bring the whole family for – Beef Chili Cookoff, Cornhole, Live Cattle, Hay Rides, Vendors and other family-friendly activities. Live music with Johnathan East.

2023 HUMMINGBIRD FESTIVAL
10 a.m.-8 p.m. in downtown Hogansville

8TH ANNUAL MAGNOLIA ARTS FESTIVAL
10 a.m.- 5 p.m. at Drake Field, 155 Willowbend Road, Peachtree City
Magnolia Fine Arts Festival is a celebration of the arts. Whether it’s traditional, digital, jewelry, wood, dance, word, song, or any other artistic expression, artists are invited to apply for this juried art festival. It will take place on Drake Field for two days of cultured fun. Magnolia is a family-friendly festival that educates and shares artwork with the community while benefiting Fayette School’s art programs. SENOIA OPTIMIST CLUB BBQ TO GO
10:30 a.m.- 1 p.m. at Senoia Farmers Market, 40 Travis Street, Senoia
The proceeds from this fundraiser to be used to fight childhood cancer through the Aflac Cancer Center. Food featured at the barbecue will include the traditional Senoia recipe of Brunswick stew prepared by Carl, Jim, and Ray McKnight plus Bill Underwood along with many volunteers. Pulled pork will be prepared by Fredene Wheelus. All items are “to go”. Quarts of stew are $15, pounds of pulled pork are $18, and BBQ sandwiches are $8. Either contact an active member of the local Optimist Club or call 770-312-9300 or 302-981-4794 to place your order, especially if you won’t be able to make it Saturday.

SPIRITS & SPICE FESTIVAL
2-7 p.m. in downtown Newnan
It’s time to eat, drink, and get spooky! Main Street Newnan will host the 3rd Annual Spirits & Spice Festival. Event attendees will be able to get their “boos” on by walking the Downtown Spirits Trail and purchasing specialty cocktails at different participating locations, spice things up by tasting numerous types of chilis at the Chili Cook-Off, and have some skele-fun on the Twisted Trolley Tour ride. The Downtown Spirits Trail consists of local venues and their specialty drink for the event. The event will also feature live music, a craft market, and activities for the kids. Live music will be by the Kris Youmans Band from 2-4 p.m. and the Venus Kings from 5-7 p.m. The event is FREE.

OAK HILL CEMETERY TOUR
4-7:30 p.m. at McRitchie-Hollis Museum, 74 Jackson Street, Newnan
Join Newnan-Coweta Historical Society as we tour at dusk through Newnan’s Historic Oak Hill Cemetery on a guided walk of select gravesites. Storytellers and guides captivate guests with lively, engaging tales while dancers, musicians and artists also contribute to this special event that celebrates living, history and the arts. Limited tickets available. Tours, $50 Adults / $25 Children 12 and under, start every 20 minutes from McRitchie-Hollis Museum, 74 Jackson St., Newnan. FALL FESTIVAL
5-7:30 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church, 3989 Corinth Road, Newnan
New Hope Baptist Church welcomes everyone to their 2023 Fall Festival. Hayride, Inflatables, Coffee/Muffin Bar, Face Painting, Cookie Walk, Games & Prizes, Chili, Hot Dogs, Chips, Drinks and Popcorn. Please, No Scary Costumes.

FREE MOVIE NIGHT – THE MUNSTERS
8 p.m. at Wadsworth Auditorium, 25 Jefferson Street, Newnan
Hosted by Newnan Leisure Services. The Munsters is a 2022 gothic comedy reboot film. Every ghost and ghoul in your life will enjoy this movie with some free popcorn! The film is rated PG for macabre and suggestive material, scary images, and language. Admission is FREE.

Presented by the Masterworks Chorale. For centuries, artists and musicians have been fascinated by celestial magic and the unknown of the galaxy. COMMUNITY CONNECTION GROUP OPEN HOUSE
3-5 p.m. at Wadsworth Auditorium, 25 Jefferson Street, Newnan
The Newnan Police Department and the City of Newnan are excited to announce Chief  Blankenship’s Community Connection Group Open House. This event is open to the public and will feature an afternoon with Newnan’s Chief of Police as he shares his vision for building connections between citizens and local law enforcement.

BLUEGRASS & BBQ
4:30-7:30 p.m. at University of West Georgia Newnan Campus, 80 Jackson Street, Newnan
SOLD OUT. The 13th Annual Coweta Samaritan Clinic Bluegrass & BBQ. Will be on the lawn of the UWG-Newnan campus. Entertainment this year will feature Coweta County’s own Leonard Washington Band, with plenty of bluegrass tunes included with their traditional favorites! And we’re also bringing back some old favorites like our silent auction and raffle!
