From Staff Reports

The official start of spring actually begins on March 20 at 5:38 p.m., but this weekend in Coweta County certainly has a spring feel to it.

Folks of all ages will find plenty to do heading into St. Patrick’s Day on Sunday.

On Friday, the Peachtree Kids Market and Cotton & Clover Marketplace highlight events during the day while the Kris Youmans Band headlines live music at The Alamo in downtown Newnan.

Saturday, the 13th Annual Shamrock Run takes to the streets in Newnan at 8 a..m. while the Friends of Wadsworth series continues at the Wadsworth Auditorium.

And Sunday, a huge day is set for Maguire’s Irish Pub in Senoia and the Young People’s Concert are the highlighted events.

Weather-wise, Coweta County finally gets a break. The rain system moving through this morning will be moving out later today and the forecast for Saturday and Sunday calls for sunny skies with highs near 60 degrees. Lows at night will be in the upper 30s.
