Another busy week in-and-around Coweta County with headlining events such as the Annual T-Shirts for Turkeys Food Drive and Fundraiser, Veteran’s Day Ceremony, Movie Night “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” with the Newnan Police Department, Bark in the Park and the performance of Rudolph the Red-Nose Reindeer Jr. at Wadsworth Auditorium.

Annual T-Shirts for Turkeys
The Joy FM and 1st Franklin Financial need the public’s help in stocking the freezers of the many area food banks and ministries who feed the local, hurting families. People are asked to donate frozen turkeys at designated Chick-fil-A drop-off points. When folks donate a turkey, they will receive a newly designed Joy FM T-shirt. $10 gift cards from any local grocery store and cash are also accepted.

An Evening with Local Authors with Senoia Area Historical Society

Veterans Day Ceremony
11 a.m. … Veterans Park, Corner of Temple Ave. and Jackson St., downtown Newnan. All are welcome to attend but bring your own lawn chairs. A public fellowship luncheon will be held at the Coweta Veterans Club after the ceremony.

Jennifer Coburn: Book Talk and Signing at PTC Library
11 a.m. to 1 p.m. … Based on true events, Jennifer Coburn‘s Cradles of the Reich was inspired by the largely untold stories of the Lebensborn program, Himmler’s state supported housing for young women whose sole purpose was to give birth to pure blooded Aryan children to be raised by SS families as future leaders of the new Nazi Germany. Movie Night with the Police Department
Join the Newnan Police Department for an exciting movie night sponsored by Texas Roadhouse. At 4 p.m., meet and take pictures with both Santa Claus and the Grinch before 6:30 p.m. when they start screening the 2000 Christmas classic movie “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.” Hot chocolate will be provided. Bringing your own lawn chairs and blankets is recommended. “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” is rated PG for language and rude humor.
