Weather Week in Coweta: Rain chances through Friday

The National Weather Service in Peachtree City says to keep your umbrella handy this week in and around Coweta County.

Rain chances go from 40 percent on Monday, 60 percent on Tuesday and Wednesday, increase to 90 percent on Thursday and back to 40 percent on Friday. High temperatures will be in the mid-80s.

Below is the day-by-day forecast (as of 6 a.m. today) from the NWS:

MONDAY – A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 2pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 90. Calm wind becoming south around 5 mph in the afternoon.

TUESDAY – Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly after 2pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 87. Southwest wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

WEDNESDAY – Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly after 2pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 87. West wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

THURSDAY – Occasional showers and thunderstorms. High near 84. Chance of precipitation is 90%.

FRIDAY – A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 87.
