Weather: Nice weekend ahead for Coweta

Folks in Coweta County can expect a mild and dry weekend weather-wise, says the National Weather Service in Peachtree City.
High temperatures will start at 66 degrees today, increase to 69 on Saturday and then up to 70 on Sunday under sunny to mostly sunny skies. Overnight lows will range in the low 40s.
Rain chances are at 0 percent throughout the weekend with the next chance likely Tuesday.
In case you are wondering about the wind speeds associated with the lastest passing cold front, the highest wind speed recorded in the past three days was 35 mph at 6:35 p.m. on Wednesday (March 31) at the Newnan-Coweta Airport weather station. Thursday’s highest wind gust was 22 mph around 4 p.m.
