From Staff Reports

The events calendar has slowed slightly as the weekend rolls into Coweta and neighboring areas.

RiverFest 2019 and the Night Market in Peachtree City highlight the weekend’s activities here locally. RiverFest will be held at Abide Brewing Company in Newnan as folks can try out Kayaks in the Kayak Pool with proceeds going to the Chattahoochee Bend State Park. Lots of food, live music and raffles. The Night Market in PTC is a rescheduled event – postponed from last week’s heavy rain – and is held at Drake Field. It features music, entertainment, food and artists/vendors.

There’s plenty of live and local music at area pubs/restaurants. Two headliners perform at larger venues – Kool and the Gang at The Fred in Peachtree City and Jo Dee Messina at Mill Town Music Hall in Bremen – both on Saturday night.

For more events, check our Facebook page by clicking: https://www.facebook.com/pg/wintersmedia/events/.

Weather-wise, a much better forecast than last weekend’s rain event. Look for sunny skies through the weekend with high temperatures in the 80s. A slight chance (20%) is in the Father’s Day forecast on Sunday.

Below is the day-to-day listing of events in the area. To have your event published, please email [email protected].
