Winners Named in Fall Dog Obedience Class

Robin Herbert and her Chihuahua “Robbie” took home first place honors as winners of the Fall Dog Obedience Class Graduation at the Coweta County Recreational Department.

The 9-week course teaches dogs heeling on and off leash, coming on command, standing for exam and sit and down stays. It’s taught at the by instructor Vicky Jones.

Second place went to Nancy Kaye and Finnish Lapphund “Stix”. Third place was awarded to Candi Roberts and her Boston Terrier “Rambo” and fourth place went to Jack Janas and his Mastiff “Skye”.

The next beginning class starts Wednesday (Jan. 8) at 7 p.m. It is held at the Johnny Brown Center at the Coweta County Recreation Department at 39 Hospital Road in Newnan. Dogs must be a minimum of five months of age to attend and the class fee is $150 for the 9-week course.
