Enjoy a 5.5 mile hike up the Riverside trail with a nice easy float down to the Day Use Area boat ramp. Boats are available to rent, or bring your own. Registration is required. $12, $30 boat rental $5 parking.

Dutch Oven Delights Club at the Bend

4:30 PM to 6 PM. We will come together at shelter number 1 and learn to use the Dutch Oven. Swap some recipes and share some food that you will prepare. You bring Ingredients, we bring the charcoal.Dutch ovens will be available to use for the beginners. $6 plus $5 parking.

Citizen’s Firearms Fundamentals is a three part community program designed to provide basic instruction in the safe and effective use of firearms (primarily handguns). The program consists of Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evening sessions. Students must attend all three sessions.

Join the Friends of Chattahoochee Bend State Park at 10 a.m. in their efforts to finish the Bobcat Trail (south loop). “We need to do a lot of cut-in on sideslopes – basically carve a two-foot-wide almost flat path into hillsides. The Market Day is hosted by Main Street Newnan on the first Saturday of every month from April-December, around the courthouse square in downtown Newnan, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. The market showcases a variety of handmade, homemade, and homegrown products created by local artisans, artists, and farmers. It features 50 unique booths with new vendors and one-of-a-kind items each month.
