From Special Reports
The Newnan Carnegie Library will host an 80th Pearl Harbor Day Commemoration Class on Tuesday, Dec. 7 at 2:30 p.m.
This one-day history class will be taught by Dr. Steve Goodson from the University of West Georgia history department. Dr. Goodson will talk about why everyone remembers Pearl Harbor Day, why the United States entered WWII, and what its significance was on this country’s history.
“It’s so nice being able to have another history program at the Carnegie,” says Anthony Urda, the Newnan Carnegie Library Adult Event Coordinator. “We always seem to have such interesting topics brought up.”
The event is free, but registration is required by signing up at Eventbrite.
The Newnan Carnegie Library is located at 1 LaGrange Street in downtown Newnan.
