Newnan Parent Secures Georgia Proclamation, Landmark Lightings for World Fragile X Day

ATLANTA – Parent advocate Cathy Nenov of Newnan has secured an official proclamation from Governor Brian Kemp recognizing World Fragile X Day on July 22 in Georgia.
Fragile X syndrome is the most common inherited cause of intellectual disability and autism. Each year on July 22, iconic landmarks around the world “light up” to raise awareness. This year, more than 500 landmarks in 21 countries are participating—including Niagara Falls, the PECO Crown Lights in Philadelphia, Matagarup Bridge in Australia, and the Hellenic Parliament Building in Greece.
Georgia joins this global effort with several key sites illuminating teal:

• Savoy Automobile Museum, Cartersville – 3 Savoy Lane, Cartersville, GA 30120
