CCF’s Coweta Fest on Oct. 12 to benefit local nonprofits

From Special Reports
The Coweta Community Foundation has announced it will kick off its fall fundraising season with Coweta Fest, an exciting new event at the Newnan location of Line Creek Brewing Co., on Thursday, October 12 from 5 to 10 p.m. Line Creek Brewing The Reserve is located at 18 Savannah Street in downtown Newnan.
Each guest at the event will receive a swag bag filled with goodies like hats, koozies, stickers, and more. Five exclusive silent auction items will be available for bidding and will remain available for two weeks after the event.
Plans include an Alcohol Tree Raffle, a fun and engaging event that’s sure to attract attention, and the Foundation is bringing in a variety of food trucks as well. A percentage of the food truck profits will benefit the fundraiser.
Headlining the event will be The Mad Hatters. Formed in late 2020 in Atlanta, The Mad Hatters, while touring extensively, have quickly become the premier Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers tribute act. Comprised of rock veterans from the Georgia Satellites and other national and regional touring acts, The Mad Hatters deliver a pulse-pounding sound and stage show that could only be matched by Tom Petty himself. The Mad Hatters include Vegas Dave Turner, Vocals and Guitar; Fred McNeal, Guitar and Vocals; Wayne Vokovich, Bass and Vocals; Todd Johnston, Drums and Vocals; and Asher McKinney, Keys and Vocals.

Sponsorship opportunities will be available as well, and all proceeds will go to the Foundation’s Traditional Grant Fund benefiting local nonprofits.
