Coweta STEM Institute announces Summer Camp 2022

The Coweta STEM Institute is now enrolling students to attend Summer Camp this June and July. 

Among the activities students will get to participate in: 

Robotics & Coding — Students have fun learning while playing with an app-enabled robotic sphere called a Sphero. Students design and construct a path containing various angles. Students learn how to program/code a Sphero to navigate the path. 

Cardboard Construction — Students will build fantastic artistic objects from boxes. 

Balloon Racers — Students will see who can engineer the fastest balloon car. 

DIY Instruments — Campers will build their own instruments from found materials. 

Sessions available include: June 13-17, West Georgia Technical College, 200 Campus Drive, Bldg. B Newnan, GA 30263 (Grades 1-5); June 27-July 1, West Georgia Technical College, 200 Campus Drive, Bldg. B (Grade 1-5); and July 18-22 Moreland Elementary (Grades 4-8) Lego Robotics Only.

Students will need to bring individual labeled water bottle and wear tennis shoes. CSI will provide a packaged snack. Students will alternate time with STEM activities, snack, and outside activities.

Camp hours are Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The nonrefundable registration fee is $100 per week and may be paid online at Checks may be mailed to Coweta STEM Institute, 121 Brown School Road, Grantville, GA 30220. Registration will not be complete until payment is received, and space is limited.
