Dog Obedience Classes begin Jan. 9

The next Dog Obedience Classes for Beginners is set to start on Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2019 at the Coweta County Recreation Department off Hospital Road in Newnan.

Instructor Vicky Jones will lead the 9-week course and it’s open to all dogs from the age of five months and up. Jones has over 48 years of teaching experience with all breeds and specializes in dogs with behavior and temperament problems.

Exercises taught will include heeling on and off leash, coming on command, stand for examination, and sit and down stay. Children are welcome to participate in the training, provided they are physically able to handle their dogs and understand and retain lengthy instruction.
