Golf Life Ladies donate $20,000 to Coweta Samaritan Clinic

From Special Reports
In partnership with White Oak golf course and the Newnan-Coweta Chamber, Golf Life Ladies just completed its fifth season of the women’s golf league.
Golf Life Ladies is also known as ‘The Social Golf League,” where women can grow new relationships all while learning the game. League members get to choose from clinics taught by a golf pro or 9-hole play; then after golf, networking takes place. This league exists to help women learn the game of golf in a fun environment, while benefitting a 501(c)(3) with all proceeds at the end of each season.
This year, nonprofits were nominated and the top three came to speak at a meeting of the league; afterwards, votes were tallied up and the ladies chose Coweta Samaritan Clinic. CSC began treating patients in October 2011. Since then the clinic’s patient base has grown to more than 950 individuals and volunteer healthcare professionals have conducted more than 8,000 patient visits.
Lou Graner, executive director of CSC said, “All of us associated with Coweta Samaritan Clinic are grateful to the Golf Life Ladies for organizing such a wonderful charitable event. We appreciate all of the sponsors, including presenting sponsor Heritage Volkswagen, and all the golfers who helped the Golf Life Ladies raise a record $20,000 for the clinic. That is a tremendous gift and a great blessing to the clinic and to the patients we serve.”
“We are pleased to represent a community of women that have the heart to give back”, said Samantha Brazie, co-founder of Golf Life Ladies. “Kim Melhouse-Guerra and I are so grateful that our league cares about this community as they do. It truly takes a village.”
Over the past five years, Golf Life Ladies has donated over $60,000 to their local community.
The Golf Life Ladies League is open to any ladies that would like to develop new, local connections while learning the game of golf. Membership in the league includes access to a private golf club, along with affordable, fun, organized golf opportunities. Due to their partnership with White Oak, the league is not exclusive to White Oak members.
