Great Gingerbread Build scheduled for Dec. 14

It’s that time of year for the 2nd Annual Great Gingerbread Build, hosted by Newnan-Coweta Habitat for Humanity.

The Great Gingerbread Build will take place on Saturday, December 14 from 9 am to 2 pm in the Newnan-Coweta Habitat ReStore.

Registrants will receive a gingerbread kit complete with icing, candies, foundation, etc. Teams will be given one-hour to complete an entirely edible, self-standing gingerbread house. But beware! No building is complete without obstacles. The Grinch has wrecked havoc on construction efforts with building citations and unforeseen delays. Will his antics impact your family-friendly fun?

Participants will enjoy hot chocolate and cider stations, Christmas cookie decorating, pictures with Santa and more!

Awards will be given for most creative gingerbread house constructed by a single, duo and business/corporate teams. Proceeds from this fun, family-friendly event will help Cowetans in need of affordable housing or critical home repairs.
