Weather Weekend in Coweta: Rain moves in Saturday night

Another round of rain will be making its way through Coweta County over the weekend, according to the National Weather Service.

Just a 20 percent rain chance is in today’s (Friday) forecast, but Saturday night those chances increase to 60 percent and to 90 percent both Sunday and Sunday night.

On the bright side, high temperatures will remain mild and in the mid-60s to 70 degrees on Sunday. Lows will be in the 50s on Friday and Saturday and near 48 on Sunday night.

And wouldn’t you know it, Monday’s forecast is sunny with a high of 57.

Here’s the weekend forecast from the NWS:

FRIDAY – A 20 percent chance of showers after 10am. Cloudy, with a high near 65. East wind around 5 mph.

FRIDAY NIGHT – Mostly cloudy, with a low around 52. East wind around 5 mph.

SATURDAY – A 20 percent chance of showers after 4pm. Cloudy, with a high near 65. East wind around 5 mph.

SATURDAY NIGHT – Showers likely, mainly after 1am. Cloudy, with a low around 59. East wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

SUNDAY – Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. High near 70. South wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%.

SUNDAY NIGHT – Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Low around 48. Chance of precipitation is 90%.
