Keep Newnan Beautiful hosts Paper Shredding event Saturday

A Paper Shredding Event is set to take place tomorrow (Saturday, Sept. 12) in downtown Newnan.

The event – sponsored by Keep Newnan Beautiful – will take place from 8 a.m. to noon in the parking lot behind Newnan City Hall off 1st Avenue. The first 3 bags or boxes are free for Coweta County residents. After the first 3, then the charge will be $3 per bag or box.

State and local COVID-19 Guidelines will be followed during the event. Residents will be asked to have their paper in the trunk or back of their respective vehicles so volunteers can access it with limited contact.

Three other recycling events are set for later this year. An Electronics Recycling event will take place on Oct. 3, followed by a Paint Recycling event on Oct. 24 and another Paper Shredding event on Dec. 5.
