Kemp withdraws lawsuit, expected to sign new executive order Saturday

In a published report on Thursday from ajc.com, Gov. Brian Kemp has withdrawn his lawsuit against the city of Atlanta which challenged a mask mandate and COVID-19 restrictions.

Kemp will sign an executive order on Saturday which will likely state that local governments can not order private businesses to require masks. It is also expected that a provision which had specifically outlawed cities and counties from mandating face coverings will be removed from his previous order.
