The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Chill Advisory for much of central Georgia, including Coweta, effective midnight tonight (Thursday) through Noon on Christmas Eve.
Wind chills as low as minus-5 are possible here in Coweta County. Temperatures are expected to rapidly fall overnight as an Arctic front moves through the Southeast. Temperatures will fall into the teens and 20s along the I-20 and I-85 corridors before noon on Friday. Windy conditions are also anticipated with Northwest winds of 15 to 20 mph with frequent gusts up to 40 mph.
