Wind Chill Watch takes effect Thursday night here in Coweta

The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has issued a Wind Chill Watch for Coweta County and most of Georgia.
The Watch will take effect late Thursday night and will run through Christmas Eve morning.
Dangerously cold wind chills are possible in the Watch area. Wind chills will be as low as minus-10 degrees across most locales in Georgia.
Temperatures are expected to rapidly begin dropping into the teens and 20s behind an Arctic front late Thursday night into Friday. Lows on early Saturday morning will range from the single digits to mid teens across much of north and central Georgia. In addition, windy conditions are anticipated with northwest winds of 15 to 20 mph with frequent gusts of 30 to 40 mph likely.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT – A 30 percent chance of rain, mainly after 3 am. Cloudy, with a low around 37. East wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.
THURSDAY – A chance of rain before 4 pm, then a chance of rain after 5 pm. Cloudy, with a high near 49. East wind around 5 mph becoming south in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
THURSDAY NIGHT – Rain likely before 4 am, then a slight chance of rain and snow. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 15. South wind 5 to 10 mph becoming west 15 to 20 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
FRIDAY – Sunny and cold, with a high near 24. Northwest wind around 20 mph, with gusts as high as 35 mph.
FRIDAY NIGHT – Mostly clear, with a low around 10.
