From Special Reports

Atlanta-based LogistiCare recently partnered with the United Way of Greater Atlanta to assist the non-profit organization with its Shoebox project, an initiative designed to collect toiletries for those in need throughout greater Atlanta.

LogistiCare joined local volunteers to help decorate shoeboxes, which hold shampoo, deodorant and other essential items for men, women and children. This year United Way and its partners collected items for more than 25,000 boxes, which were distributed to agencies in 13 different counties in Georgia, including Coweta County.

LogistiCare is the nation’s largest manager of non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) programs for state government agencies and managed care organizations. The company’s services include NEMT ride management, call center management, transportation provider network development and credentialing, and vendor administration. The company is focused on providing access to convenient, cost-effective, safe and reliable transportation.
