By MR. PERSONALITY, Special to The Paper

January, New Year’s Day and Martin Luther King Jr. Day, are highlights for the month of January.

New Year’s Day is to celebrate the fresh start that it is, that it may become and that we hope for. The Carnegie Library is an excellent source for people of all ages to discover Dr. King, as they have many books about him as a person, preacher and Civil Rights activist. Celebrate his life by reading about his life.

I would like to encourage those with time on their hands and money in their pockets to shop at the Courthouse Square. Shop small, shop local and shop smart and be sure to pick up the free Paper.  A John Winters’ special, a great source of information about the Courthouse Square, Newnan and Coweta County.

For those visiting or moving in, The Paper is a must-read as well as great entertainment for all. Be sure to check out my Mr. Personality column, it’s the best one yet.

I am always in a bit of shock and awe as I remember that the very day I moved to this state and town I was more fully connected to my God-consciousness, what the Quakers refer to as the “Inner Light.”

Ten years later I am still having a God experience every day. My spiritual love letters ministry is indeed my outreach ministry in which I touch the hearts and minds with all of humankind that is placed in my path by Divine Spirit.  Some need prayers, some need healing, some need a friendly voice and some simply need to be seen and heard.

This is my God-given purpose for being in this town, this country and this very planet. Sometimes I can only offer words of encouragement, prayers, air hugs and much enthusiasm.

I do what I can with what I have and I pray daily that Divine Spirit will bless me with the right thoughts, the right words, the right deeds and right behavior throughout each day. Every day is an affirmation of my God-given purpose. I am to embrace my fellow humankind with love, joy, and heartfelt sincerity each day.

My Book of the Month is titled: “The Right To Be Wrong. Ending The Culture War Over Religion In America,” by Kevin Seamus Hasson. This well-written book should be read by anyone that has a religion and those that do not. It is about the ongoing feud over religious diversity.

The book explains that freedom is guaranteed by the truth about each of us. We are to follow our conscience, even if our conscience is mistaken as we have the God-given right to be wrong.

If anyone has been told they have the “wrong” religion or feel only they have the “right” religion, I suggest reading this book. I wish I could give everyone a copy of this book. This is another book of  wisdom that the Divine Spirit placed in my path to share.

Until next time Peace, love and respect.
