Munchkin Masquerade still a ‘Go’ today in downtown Newnan

From Staff Reports
Main Street Newnan reported yesterday that the annual Munchkin Masquerade in downtown Newnan will take place – rain or shine – today.
The Munchkin Masquerade, one of the most popular downtown events of the year, is scheduled to begin this morning at 10 a.m. and will end at noon. Children from around the greater Newnan-Coweta County area gather around the Courthouse Square to collect treats from downtown businesses. Costumes are always welcomed and encouraged. This event typically hosts a crowd of around 1,000 children and lasts 2 hours.
Below is a tweet from Main Street Newnan announcing today’s event will take place regardless of the weather.
Free public parking is available along downtown streets and in the numerous off-street lots located on the corner of LaGrange Street and Spring Street, First Avenue and Spring Street, East Broad Street and Perry Street and East Washington Street and Perry Street.
