Newnan Firefighter Cornell Rollins retires after 26 years of service

The City of Newnan Fire Department celebrated Firefighter Cornell Rollins’ retirement after 26 years of service on Monday.

At his retirement celebration at Station 1, Firefighter Rollins remarked that he enjoyed his lengthy career with the Newnan Fire Department.

“I just really appreciated the opportunity to be with all you guys,” he said. “It was well worth the journey.” 

Newnan Fire Chief Stephen Brown was very appreciative of Rollins’ service.

“We are honored that FF Rollins invested in our community for 26 years,” Brown said. “His dedication to the fire service and commitment to keeping Newnan safe is deeply appreciated.”
