Oktoberfest Tickets now on sale

The popular Oktoberfest Beer Tasting event is scheduled for downtown Newnan on Friday, Oct. 4.
Tickets are now on sale at mainstreetnewnan.com. The tickets are $30 per person and only 450 tickets will be available to the general public. Participation in Oktoberfest festivities is cost free for non-drinking participants.
The Oktoberfest celebration is designed to bring beer enthusiasts downtown to enjoy a night of tasting Georgia craft brews. Over 30-plus downtown businesses participants extend their business hours and their hospitality. Each business serves as a tasting location for the different varieties of craft beer that is available for sampling. Those businesses also provide complimentary refreshments, retail sales specials and other treats for all Oktoberfest guests.
Event registration will take place from 5-8 p.m. at the Newnan Carnegie Library where tickets will be scanned. Upon sign-in, each participant will receive a commemorative beer mug and an informational brochure. Event-goers must provide a valid photo ID at the registration table for admittance. Each participant will also have their wrist stamped to indicate that they are of legal drinking age. Guests will not be able to have tickets scanned after 8 p.m.
Uber & Lyft is available and provide services throughout the evening for guests who would prefer taking a taxi home.
Free parking is available along downtown streets, and in the City of Newnan’s public parking lots, located at: 13 Lagrange Street, 25 Lagrange Street, 22 Spring Street, 6 First Avenue, 50 East Broad Street, 65 East Broad Street, 41 East Washington Street, and 22 East Broad Street.
