Rep. Lynn Smith Honored
Rep. Lynn Smith, who served various parts of Coweta County and surrounding areas for 30 years, was honored for her work.
Standing ovations greeted Smith at the annual Newnan-Coweta Chamber of Commerce Pancakes and Politics breakfast.
Smith recalled a comment that stayed with her during her tenure from an important politician.
“Remember the toes you step on today belong to the ass you will kiss tomorrow,” she quipped.
Editor’s note. Lynn did say derriere, but no one bought that.
Sen. Matt Brass praised her as the grandmother to all the delegation, before correcting himself and saying “big sister.”
