Saturday Status Report: Coweta increases by 19 cases

The 3 p.m. Daily Status Report of the COVID-19 pandemic has been issued by the Georgia Department of Public Health for Saturday, June 27.
Today, Coweta County had 19 new cases of COVID-19 in addition to 1 hospitalization. Deaths remain unchanged. In the past 7 days, Coweta has posted 89 cases. Today also marked the fourth consecutive day with at least 1 hospitalization.
Overall, Coweta now stands at 634 cases, 15 deaths and 58 hospitalizations.
Georgia again posted another single-day high since early April with 1,990 new cases. It was the 8th time in 9 days that the state had over 1,000 cases. On Friday, Georgia had 1,900 cases which makes the total of 3,890 cases in the last two days.
In addition today, Georgia had 6 deaths, 84 hospitalizations and 17 ICU admits.
The cumulative overall totals for Georgia – 74,985 cases, 2776 deaths, 10,689 hospitalizations, 2261 ICU admits. Tests given – 942,033.
