From Staff Reports

Three of four Atlanta professional sports teams will appear on television in this week (June 7-13).

The surprising Atlanta Hawks knocked off the Philadelphia 76ers 128-124 on Sunday to open their Best of 7, 2nd Round action in the NBA Playoffs. Atlanta remains in Philadelphia for Game 2 on Tuesday before heading home for Games 3 and 4 in State Farm Arena. Tuesday’s game will be on TNT and Friday’s Game 3 on ESPN.

In baseball, the Atlanta Braves took 2 of 3 from the Los Angeles Dodgers over the weekend to move to 28-29 on the year, and 3.5 games back of the first-place New York Mets. Atlanta begins a 6-game road trip on Tuesday starting with 3 games in Philadelphia and then heads to Miami Friday to begin a 3-game set versus the Marlins.

Atlanta United is off until June 20 when it hosts the Philadelphia Union. United’s Major League Soccer record stands at 2-1-4. Their 10 points in the standings is good enough for 8th place in the Eastern Conference.

The Atlanta Dream of the WNBA will appear on TV for 3 games this week. The Dream, now 4-4 on the young season, is coming off a road loss to the Minnesota Lynx, 100-80, last night.
