Weather: Warm, muggy pattern continues through work week

The warm and muggy weather pattern which was here over the weekend continues throughout this upcoming work week here in Coweta County.
The National Weather Service says to expect highs in the mid-80s through Friday and rain chances of 70 percent today and Tuesday and 40 percent Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
Early forecasts indicate as much as 1.5 inches of rain could fall here locally beginning today through Tuesday.
Overnight lows will be in the upper 60s.

MONDAY – Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Patchy fog before 9am. Otherwise, cloudy, with a high near 83. South wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.
MONDAY NIGHT – A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 68. South wind around 5 mph. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
TUESDAY – A chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 11am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 84. South wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
TUESDAY NIGHT – A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 2am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 67. Calm wind.
WEDNESDAY – A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 8am. Mostly sunny, with a high near 86. Calm wind becoming southwest around 5 mph in the morning.
THURSDAY – A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 87.
FRIDAY – A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 87.
SATURDAY – A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 87.
