Stores Closing as owner retires after 30 years!

From Staff Reports

All good things must come to an end at some point. That’s simply the case with two local businesses – Newnan Plaza Pawn Shop and Greenville Street Discount Foods.

Owner Emory Bray is calling it a career after 30 years in business. Both Greenville Street businesses will be closing on Oct. 31, 2021.

Folks can expect discounted prices at both stores from Sept. 1 through Oct. 31.

At Newnan Plaza Pawn Shop, all merchandise, racks and fixtures must go. All guns – Glock, Taurus, Ruger, AR-15, AK-47 – will be sold at cost plus tax. Tools, knives, guitars, TVs, etc., are 25% off! And all pawns must be picked up by Oct. 16.

At Greenville Street Discount Foods, everything must go including food, cleaning supplies, snacks, drinks and more. Many items will be listed for only $1.

The stores are located at 167 Greenville Street, just south of the downtown Newnan Square. Hours are Monday thru Friday, 9-5:30 and Saturday, 9-4. For more info, call 770-304-8224.

Hey! It would’ve been really nice to know that the store was closing considering you had some of my belongings there and I continue to call and give you an update and everyone that I spoke with said it was just fine. It’s November 2022 I have never gotten a letter nor a phone call I went by there today only to find Out that everything has been locked up lock stock and barrel and was gone!
