Superintendent Evan Horton, Principals, Give Newnan High and Atkinson Updates (video)

Since the March 26 Newnan tornado, Superintendent Evan Horton and the Principals of Newnan High School and Atkinson Elementary School have provided weekly updates of work being done at both schools and system-wide.

The tornado heavily damaged both schools. Since then, Atkinson Elementary students have attended classes at space donated by West Georgia Technical College, at their campus on Turkey Creek Road in Newnan. Newnan High students have met virtually, as well as at alternate school and athletic sites across the county, to finish the academic year.
In the May 7 update, Horton and Principals Chase Puckett (NHS) and Ben Tarleton (Atkinson) discuss progress of work at both campuses since the March 26 tornado, students classes at West Georgia, Prom and year-end events, and NHS Graduation plans.
