The Weekend Calendar for Jan. 4-5-6

From Staff Reports
It’s the first weekend of 2019 and many folks are still trying to figure out what day of the week it is after the holiday season.
The weekend calendar is still on the “lite” side and will start to ramp up in the next couple of weeks as everyone settles back in to the new year.
Highlights of the weekend include a pair of events at local libraries on Friday – Exercise is Medicine at the Newnan Carnegie and LEGO Club at the Grantville Library. On Saturday, “Bring One for the Chipper” takes place in downtown Newnan and on Sunday, auditions for the Newnan Theatre Company’s production of the Sound of Music is scheduled.
Weather-wise, the weekend looks amazing. After the rain moves out of Coweta County later today, look for mostly sunny skies and highs near 60 degrees on both Saturday and Sunday. Lows will be near 40.
Below is the day-to-day listing of events in the area. To have your event published, please email [email protected].
