Thursday: Coweta increases by 15 new COVID-19 cases

The 3 p.m. Daily Status Report of the COVID-19 pandemic has been issued by the Georgia Department of Public Health for Thursday, July 9.
Today, Coweta County added 15 new cases of COVID-19 with both deaths and hospitalizations unchanged. The 15 cases marked the 9th time in the past 10 days Coweta had 10-or-more cases.
Coweta County’s cumulative totals include 821 cases, 16 deaths and 63 hospitalizations. Single-day highs for Coweta since the pandemic began in March follow: cases (46 on July 3); deaths (3 on May 21); and hospitalizations (6 on May 12).
Georgia dropped slightly in new cases today with 2,837 and also dropped in deaths (8), hospitalizations (106) and ICU admits (17). It is the 18th consecutive day the state had 1,000-or-more cases in a single day.
Overall, Georgia has 106,727 cumulative cases, 2930 deaths, 12,606 hospitalizations and 2519 ICU admits.
Georgia’s single-day highs follow: cases (3,472 on July 2); deaths (94 on April 20); hospitalizations (506 on April 7); ICU admits (44 on June 18).
