Thursday Daily Status Report: Coweta increases by 8 cases, now at 440

From Staff Reports
The 3 p.m. Daily Status Report of the COVID-19 pandemic has been issued by the Georgia Department of Public Health for Thursday, June 4.
Today, Coweta County increased by 8 new cases on the Daily Status Report. Deaths and hospitalizations remain unchanged. The cumulative total for Coweta now stands at 440 cases, 9 deaths and 53 hospitalizations.
A discrepancy exists between the Daily Status Report (by GA DPH) and the Long-Term Care Facility Report (by GA Department of Community Health) in cases and deaths. Last night’s Long-Term Care Report listed 18 new cases and 3 deaths at Newnan Health & Rehabilitation Nursing Home and it is unclear if any of those positive cases were included in this 3 p.m. report. Yesterday’s 3 deaths and 2 additional deaths earlier in the week have not appeared in the Daily Status Report. If they are included in a future Daily Status Report, Coweta will have a total of 14 deaths.
Statewide today, Georgia posted 953 new cases – the most single-day cases since 1232 on May 1. Also today, Georgia had 24 deaths, 138 hospitalized and 31 admitted to ICU.
In the last two days combined (Wednesday and Thursday), Georgia has had 1640 cases, 45 deaths, 223 hospitalized and 51 to ICU.
Overall, Georgia now has a cumulative total of 49,847 cases, 2147 deaths, 8557 hospitalized and 1872 ICU admits. The total number of tests administered now stands at 590,957, though 94,626 of that total are antibody tests.
