Tuesday Daily Status Report: Coweta increases by 1 case, now at 422

The 3 p.m. Daily Status Report of the COVID-19 pandemic has been issued by the Georgia Department of Public Health for Tuesday, June 2.

Today, Coweta County saw an increase of 1 new case with no changes in deaths or hospitalizations. The cumulative total now stands at 422 cases, 9 deaths and 52 hospitalizations.

The deaths by gender and age:  female, 42; male, 77; female, 58; female, 84; female, 63; female, 90-plus; female, 58;  female, 78; and female, 71.

There continues to be a discrepancy in Coweta deaths between the Long-Term Care Report (provided by the GA Department of  Community Health) and the Daily Status Report (from the GA Department of Public Health). The Long-Term Care Report has listed 4 deaths since Wednesday, May 27 among its data for Newnan Health and Rehabilitation Nursing Home. Three of the four deaths have appeared in the DPH Daily Status Report.

Statewide today, Georgia recorded 308 new cases with 13 deaths, 32 hospitalized and 3 admitted to ICU.

In the last two days combined (Monday and Tuesday), Georgia has had 849 cases, 49 deaths, 383 hospitalized and 26 to ICU.

Overall, Georgia now has a cumulative total of 48,207 cases, 2102 deaths, 8334 hospitalized and 1821 ICU admits. The total number of tests administered now stands at 565,612, though 91,325 of that total are antibody tests.
