UPDATE (7 p.m.) – Today’s second Daily Status Report has been issued by the Georgia Department of Public Health for Monday, April 13.

This report indicates 13,621 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Georgia (an increase of 316 from today’s noon report) and 480 deaths (an increase of 18 from earlier today). In Coweta County, the number of confirmed cases rose to 121 (an increase of 2 from earlier today) and 2 deaths remain unchanged.

Total number of people hospitalized in Georgia due to COVID-19 – 2,702 (an increase of 116 from earlier today).

Adding the totals for today (Monday) only, there’s 1,076 new cases, 38 deaths and 186 people hospitalized in Georgia during the last 24 hours.

The top five counties in Georgia with the most confirmed cases – Fulton 1635, Dougherty 1245, DeKalb 1006, Cobb 816 and Gwinnett 766.

The counties in Georgia with the most fatalities – Dougherty 78, Fulton 52, Cobb 36, Gwinnett 24, Bartow 17, Mitchell 16, Lee 15,  DeKalb 15, Clayton 12, Clarke 12, and Terrell 10.

The confirmed cases-deaths in counties nearby – Fulton 1635-52, Clayton 396-12, Henry 289-4, Carroll 229-5, Douglas 177-5, Muscogee 167-4, Coweta 121-2, Fayette 106-5, Spalding 78-4, Troup 62-3, Meriwether 23-0, Harris 22-1, Haralson 18-1, Heard 4-1.
