Weather: Cold fronts bring wind, rain and cooler temperatures

The National Weather Service in Peachtree City expects a couple of cold fronts to move through Coweta County and Georgia this week bringing gusty winds, rain and cooler temperatures.
The first cold front moves through this morning as a strong North wind is at 10-15 mph, gusting to 25. Clouds will give way to clearing later in the day with a high near 50 degrees. Overnight, clear skies return with the temperature dropping to 33.
Sunny skies are in Tuesday’s forecast with a high near 52 and East winds at 5-15 mph. Then, overnight, rain is likely after midnight with a 60 percent chance as the second front moves through.
Rain continues Wednesday (80% chance) with a high of 49.
Clearing and sunny skies return both Thursday and Friday with highs near 50 and lows in the upper 20s.

TUESDAY NIGHT – Rain likely, mainly after 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 39. East wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
WEDNESDAY – Rain, mainly before 1pm. High near 49. East wind around 5 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 80%.
THURSDAY – Mostly sunny, with a high near 49.
FRIDAY – Sunny, with a high near 53.
