Weather: Hot weather to continue this week in Coweta

The summer weather pattern here in Coweta County continues to roll on with another week of highs reaching the 90-degree mark and the chance of a daily afternoon pop-up shower or thunderstorm.
The National Weather Service in Peachtree City says to expect highs of 86 degrees today and 89 on Tuesday, before the mercury reaches 91 on Wednesday, 92 on Thursday and 90 on Friday. Rain chances are listed at 40 percent today and Tuesday, then 20 percent Wednesday, 30 percent on Thursday and up to 60 percent on Friday.
Overnight lows through the week will be near 72 degrees.
The early portion of the weekend looks much like the work week with a high near 88 and a 60 percent rain chance on Saturday.

WEDNESDAY – A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. Sunny, with a high near 91. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph in the morning.
THURSDAY – A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. Sunny, with a high near 92.
FRIDAY – Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly after 2pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 90. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
SATURDAY – Showers and thunderstorms likely. Partly sunny, with a high near 88. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
