Weather: Memorial Day Weekend to be sunny and dry

After week filled with off-and-on rain, the Memorial Day Weekend forecast calls for plenty of sunshine according to the National Weather Service in Peachtree City.

A cold front will move through today which will bring drier air and mild conditions through Saturday. Today’s high will only reach 79 degrees with decreasing clouds and tonight’s low will drop down to 57. The wind could be a bit of an issue at 5-15 mph from the west, gusting to 20.

Through the weekend, Coweta County can expect sunny skies during the day and mostly clear conditions overnight.

Saturday will be the best day of the weekend – weather-wise – with a high near 81 degrees and little or no humidity. The overnight low will be near 60.

The humidity begins to return Sunday with a high of 86. And for Memorial Day Monday, look for a high of 87.

FRIDAY – Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 79. West wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

FRIDAY NIGHT – Mostly clear, with a low around 57. West wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

SATURDAY – Sunny, with a high near 81. Calm wind becoming northwest around 5 mph.

SATURDAY NIGHT – Mostly clear, with a low around 60. Calm wind.

SUNDAY – Sunny, with a high near 86. East wind around 5 mph becoming southeast in the afternoon.

MEMORIAL DAY – Sunny, with a high near 87.
