Weather: Mild temperatures return to Coweta for Thanksgiving week

Temperatures are expected to return to the 60s this week as Coweta County prepares for Thanksgiving on Thursday, says the National Weather Service in Peachtree City.
Today will be the coolest day of the week, starting with a low this morning of 30 degrees before reaching a high of 55 later in the afternoon. And following tonight’s overnight low of 37, that will be the last of the 30s until Friday night.
The extended forecast calls for high temperatures of 56 on Tuesday, 64 Wednesday, 63 on Thanksgiving and 57 Friday. Overnight lows will be 37 tonight, 43 on Tuesday night, 44 Wednesday and 46 Thursday.
Rain chances are slight – listed at 20 percent for Tuesday and Thanksgiving Day. Those chances increase Thanksgiving night to 50 percent and remain at 40 percent on Friday.

FRIDAY – A 40 percent chance of showers, mainly before 8am. Partly sunny, with a high near 57.
SATURDAY – A 20 percent chance of showers. Mostly sunny, with a high near 55.
