Weather: Rain bookends Coweta’s weekend forecast

This weekend, Coweta County residents will see rain to start the weekend and rain to end it on Sunday, says the National Weather Service in Peachtree City.
A cold front is moving through today and will eventually push this morning’s rain further south and out of the area. Clearing will begin late this afternoon with a high temperature of 56 degrees. Tonight’s low will drop to 33.
Saturday will be the best day of the weekend as sunny skies return with a high near 57. North wind will be around 5 mph. The overnight low is expected to be 38.
Then on Sunday, the day starts out partly sunny before a 20 percent rain chance moves in, then increases to 50 percent that evening. High temperature on Sunday will be 53 with the overnight low 47.
Rain is expected again on Monday with a 70 percent chance but the high will be 67.

FRIDAY – Showers likely, mainly before noon. Patchy dense fog before 11am. Otherwise, cloudy, with a high near 56. Calm wind becoming northwest around 5 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
FRIDAY NIGHT – Partly cloudy, with a low around 33. North wind around 5 mph.
SATURDAY – Sunny, with a high near 57. North wind around 5 mph becoming east in the afternoon.
SATURDAY NIGIHT – Partly cloudy, with a low around 38. Calm wind becoming east around 5 mph after midnight.
SUNDAY – A 20 percent chance of showers after 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 53. Southeast wind around 5 mph.
SUNDAY NIGHT – A 50 percent chance of showers. Cloudy, with a low around 47.
