Willis Road Elementary Teacher Arrested On Child Pornography Charges

Dear Willis Road Parents,
The purpose of this letter is to make you aware of a matter that is currently being investigated by the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office.
At approximately 11:00 p.m. last night, Coweta County School System administrators were notified that a search warrant had been executed at the home and classroom of a Willis Road Elementary School teacher. Subsequently, Willis Road 5th Grade teacher Noel Smith was arrested and charged with possession of child pornography.
We encourage you to contact the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office at 770-253-1502 if you have any additional information that you feel may be relevant to this investigation. The investigation into this matter is ongoing. Any additional updates may be provided by the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office.

“Mr. Smith has been an employee of the school system since August 2001, and has worked as a teacher at Willis Road since August, 2002, according to Dean Jackson, school system spokesman. “The system was notified of the arrest and investigation last night. Currently, he is on administrative leave as this matter is being investigated by the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office. “
