Weather: Rain in forecast all week

The National Weather Service in Peachtree City says Coweta County should expect rain chances above 50 percent on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of this work week.
With Tropical Storm Elsa approaching from the southeast and a cold front from the northwest, it’s a perfect formula for moisture to enter the region. Rain chances begin at 30 percent today and 40 percent tonight with today’s high at 87 degrees.
Highs will remain in the lower 80s on Wednesday and Thursday with mostly cloudy skies. A 60 percent rain chance is listed for Wednesday, 70 percent on Thursday.
Friday will also have a 70 percent rain chance and a high of 86.
Overnight lows this week will be in the upper 60s.

TUESDAY NIGHT – A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 2am, then a slight chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 69. South wind around 5 mph becoming calm after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
WEDNESDAY – A chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 83. East wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT – Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 7pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 7pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 68. East wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
THURSDAY – Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly after 2pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 82. Calm wind becoming southwest around 5 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
FRIDAY – Showers and thunderstorms likely. Partly sunny, with a high near 86. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
