Weather: Warm, dry weekend for Coweta County

Finally, a warm, sunny and dry weekend is in the forecast for Coweta County.

The start of spring has seen weekends here in Coweta with cool temperatures or rain or both. This weekend’s forecast is perfect for those ready to start their gardens, do yard work or most anything outdoors – like the Keep Newnan Beautiful Electronics Recycling event on Saturday or the Ready, Set, LINC event at the Newnan Centre tonight or the Bike Coweta Rock and Road Festival in downtown Newnan on Saturday.

High temperatures over the next three days will be in the lower 80s – 82 today, 82 again on Saturday and 81 on Sunday. Sunny to mostly sunny skies is expected with Southeast wind at 5-10 mph and at times gusting to 15.

Overnight lows will be in the mid-to-upper 50s. 

The next chance for rain, according to the National Weather Service in Peachtree City, is Monday night into Tuesday.

FRIDAY – Patchy fog before 9am. Otherwise, sunny, with a high near 82. Calm wind becoming southeast around 5 mph in the afternoon.

FRIDAY NIGHT – Clear, with a low around 55. Calm wind becoming southeast around 5 mph after midnight.

SATURDAY – Sunny, with a high near 82. Light southeast wind increasing to 5 to 10 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 15 mph.

SATURDAY NIGHT – Mostly clear, with a low around 56. Southeast wind around 5 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.

SUNDAY – Mostly sunny, with a high near 81. Southeast wind around 5 mph.

MONDAY – Sunny, with a high near 84.
