Weather Week in Coweta: Mild temperatures, rain possible Tuesday, Friday

After a chilly weekend, more mild temperatures will settle in to the Coweta County area during the work week, according to the National Weather Service in Peachtree City.
Folks can expect highs the 60s Monday and Tuesday, near 70 degrees on Wednesday and Thursday. A cold front moves through late Thursday and bring a 50 percent rain chance on Friday and highs of only 55.
The weekend looks good with sunny skies but with cooler temperatures.
Here’s the upcoming five-day forecast from the NWS:
MONDAY – Increasing clouds, with a high near 62. Southeast wind around 5 mph.
MONDAY NIGHT – A 20 percent chance of rain after midnight. Cloudy, with a low around 49. East wind around 5 mph.
TUESDAY – A 20 percent chance of rain before 10am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 69. Northeast wind around 5 mph becoming north in the afternoon.
WEDNESDAY – Sunny, with a high near 70. Calm wind becoming east around 5 mph.
THURSDAY – A 30 percent chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 71.
FRIDAY – A 50 percent chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 55.
