Weather Week in Coweta: Sunny skies early, then rain moves in again

The National Weather Service in Peachtree City is dialing up more rain this week to the Coweta County area.
It appears after a couple of sunny days on Monday and Tuesday, the wet stuff begins to move in Wednesday night. However, there is good news – the rain moves out on Friday night. The long-range weekend forecast is showing no rain and lots of sunshine, a first in almost a month here locally.
The average highs this week will be in the 50s with the average lows in the upper 30s.
Below is the NWS forecast day-by-day as of 7 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 17.
TODAY – Patchy fog before 10am. Otherwise, mostly cloudy through mid morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 60. Northwest wind around 5 mph.
TUESDAY – Sunny, with a high near 58. Northwest wind around 5 mph.
WEDNESDAY – Partly sunny, with a high near 57. Southeast wind around 5 mph.
THURSDAY – Showers. High near 55. Chance of precipitation is 90%.
FRIDAY – Showers likely. Cloudy, with a high near 48. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
